Working with QA, development and production, you’ll ‘own’ every inch of the company’s database assets. You’ll enjoy tremendous responsibility, respect and autonomy—and you want it that way.

Managing terabytes of data in a high-volume environment, you’ll call on a diverse set of database management skills: capacity planning, SQL optimization, Partitioning, Oracle Tuning, and Diagnostics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Oracle software installation and configuration
• Backup and Recovery Export/Import Data Loading
• General RDMBS Maintenance Performance Tuning and Monitoring
• Database security
• Physical and Logical Design
• Data Modeling
• Replication and Standby
• Troubleshooting and support
• Apply patches, service packs and fixes
• Capacity planning
• Data warehousing

Who Should Apply

You have at least 5 years of hands-on Oracle database experience. Oracle Spatial expertise is a big plus.

Demonstrated experience installing, maintaining, operating, tuning, and troubleshooting complex databases in a high volume environment. You’ve successfully defined, documented and implemented disaster recovery procedures.

Overall, the right person will have rich and well-rounded expertise to go along with a personality that welcomes responsibility and seeks challenges.

Exposure to Development environment (the role is not only about supporting current production but to also support developers in building highly stable, reliable and mature product; expert knowledge of PL/SQL and performance tuning)

Oracle 11g experience – They are currently overhauling all environments and standardizing all on Oracle 11G

Software Expertise & Requirements

Oracle 10g and higher on Windows 2003 platform

Oracle tools: RMAN, SQL* Plus, SQL Loader, OEM Knowledge of Oracle Spatial, Oracle RAC and Microsoft SQL Server is highly desirable and will be considered as an asset when choosing a candidate for this position.

ORACLE Certification is preferred.
