About the Company
Already a leader in enterprise-level content management solutions, Open Text is breaking sales records year over year – earning over $700 million FY2008.
Today, the company supports almost 20 million seats across 13,000 deployments in 114 countries and 12 languages worldwide.
The Opportunity
Help customers understand how technology affects their bottom lineKeystone. Lynchpin. Mastermind. Rainmaker. Call it what you will, this is an opportunity to be a “primum movens” (prime mover) at a global software company that is at the threshold of becoming a billion-dollar business.
This role weaves together three challenges:
- Delve into the technical bottlenecks facing customers
- Understand on an acutely technical and macro-operational level how OpenText’s product solves those problems
- Translate that understanding into the language of business
As part consultant, part architect and part thought leader (see Duties below), you’ll champion strategic, design and functional discussions on a massive scale to both internal and external executives. It’s both high-level thinking and hands-on work.
You’ll keep one eye on your projects and the other on the bigger picture – anticipating where Enterprise Architecture, ECM and the other domains under your jurisdiction are headed. Then you’ll put that vision in front your report: OpenText’s VP of R&D.
This role is an opportunity to see just how good you are, masterminding and leading global solutions that start as high-level handshakes and shake out to right down to technical brass tacks. Your tech acumen and gift for dialogue will not only make the pieces fit, they’ll help frame and sell the puzzle.
It’s a crucial role with a multifacted mandate at a billion-dollar company.

- Leads the development of, and reviews architectures/frameworks of complex, high-risk engagements.
