The OpportunityLead, organize and apply your tactical and strategic savvy in a newly created position that hands you the keys to a global training initiative for an enterprise software company.
This intensely collaborative, multi-faceted role combines strategic, top-down work with sleeves-rolled project planning on an international scale.
You’ll need Leadership and mentorship aptitudes, plus the ability to manage blended project teams (clients, vendors, employees).
With a strategy in place, you’ll execute.
Strategic Thinking…
Working closely with Alliance and Partner Managers, your first stop will be to identify the global training requirements of partner organizations.
Your holistic analysis will include partner needs and competencies – beginning with enterprise software products expertise and deployment knowledge.
You’ll then connect with strategic and channel partner relationship managers to translate those requirements into sales and product training programs.
…Plus Tactical Execution
Acting as Project Manager, you’ll create project scope documents to specify project goals, key linkages, stakeholders, budgets, time constraints, performance goals, and detailed project timelines.
Partner Enablement Program, Lines of Business, Product Marketing, Global Services and other areas within the company will help you translate scope requirements into programs – including online and in-person delivery and supporting resources.
Your key metrics, which you’ll help identify, will include partner effectiveness and satisfaction, training program readiness and refinements, and revenue.
And of course you’ll work hand-in-hand with the partner community to ensure that goals, execution, and partner satisfaction are aligned.
Other Challenges:
- Develop and implement project plans for an integrated approach to Partner learning programs across multiple geographies, maximizing the use of limited subject matter expert and other internal resources
- Coordinate Partner skill assessments and training to ensure that deliverables provide the necessary knowledge to meet training goals
- Develop and manage Partner training plans for Product and Sales Certification paths
- Provide instruction and guidance to trainers to ensure that courses are developed to meet the unique needs of key Partners while ensuring an integrated approach to overall partner training
- Develop and maintain a monitoring strategy to ensure partner satisfaction and rapid time-to-sales-effectiveness
You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in partner or sales training in a business setting, field sales, product support and/or consulting.
Previous work in a team environment; global/distributed experience preferred

- Familiar with Learning Management Systems
- Must be able to manage across multiple priorities and groups
- Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to deploy tactical plans effectively
- Experience with design and implementation of a skills assessment & competencies program
