The Opportunity
Research in Motion is currently seeking a Report Developer to join the Business Services Team within Customer Support Operations (CSO). The successful candidate will provide report development, design data foundation, analysis, administration and infrastructure support for CSO.

Responsibilities

• Coordination with various CSO groups for all their reporting requirements
• Providing technical and presentation design using standard development methods
• Analyzing and troubleshooting reporting issues, data or system related
• Working closely with various IT groups and system administrators to fully understand and better support RIM’s core systems to ensure continuity of service.

A successful candidate must be able to understand system’s technical design and how it relates to multiple enterprise wide systems to preserve and ensure data accuracy.

Who Should Apply

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is required
• Minimum of 4 years in report design and development
• Proficient in extract transform load concept (ETL); data analysis and integration
• Proficient in scripting language
• Good understanding of data relationships and dashboard/scorecard technical design strategy
• Familiar with data diagram construction
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
