The Opportunity
As one of the first to join the new and highly strategic Professional Services division of RIM, you will be the consultant and project manager to RIM’s largest and most strategic customers. By developing customized BlackBerry applications to meet specific requirements, you will ensure that RIM maintains customer loyalty and increases their dominance in the enterprise market.
You will be involved at all stages of the custom development project cycle – responding to proposals and client calls, defining current and future solution requirements, documentation, and hands-on management of development projects.
Traveling up to 60% of the time, you will work on-site and represent RIM with a customer base across North America. You will lend your knowledge to strategic conferences and trade shows on behalf of RIM.
With your mixture of development know-how and strong business acumen, you will take a consultative, creative approach to solving customer issues.

Who Should Apply
Technical leadership is key – you have at least 7+ years’ experience as a technology consultant, bringing exceptional presentation skills to the table. You don’t see a large audience as an obstacle, you see it as a job perk.
You have a minimum of 7+ years’ experience developing in .NET and/or J2EE, and working with relational databases. Several years developing JSP/Servlets or ASP is also on your resume.
Industry certifications such as Java Certified Developer, Oracle DBA, etc. are an asset.
