The Opportunity
Define the shifting peaks and valleys of the business communication landscape. What will they look like in five years? Ten? Your gift for extracting diamonds from mountains of business data will help Research in Motion answer these essential questions. Your insight will influence billion-dollar decisions.
Working with the Software Product Management team, you’ll survey the business communication marketplace for senior decision makers, combining your knowledge of RIM’s business model and distribution channels with SWOT and statistical analysis of complex data.
Sifting through data from numerous sources, you’ll collaborate with internal and external groups and present your findings to (and influence the thinking of) senior management.
This is enterprise-scale work that deals with global markets and global product launches. Little more needs to be said.
Who Should Apply
• Education should include an MBA or university degree in a related area.
• Experience in the enterprise software industry.
• An aptitude for statistical analysis and research techniques.
• Must be an effective communicator – written and oral – with the ability to create compelling presentations.
• Comfortable working with personnel from a variety of functional groups and management levels.
• An ability to manage and reset priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
• Individual needs to demonstrate strong project management and problem solving-skills.
• Solid grasp of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

What if I am NOT in Waterloo?
This role is Waterloo-based, as it is essential that you work closely with the Software Product Management team, as well as other key individuals across the rest of the head-office organization.
