The Opportunity
Develop and oversee vital end-to-end programs for RIM’s BlackBerry products. As a champion of cross-functional projects in upwards of 10 areas, you’ll collaborate up and down the org chart – right up to the executive level.

Your focus will be both tactical and strategic, weaving your long and short-range responsibilities into the many aspects of Enterprise-scale software projects.

Development, validation, beta evalutation, documentation and customer support will need your supervision and knack for getting things done.

Other program management responsibilities include:

  • Effective tracking of deliverables
  • Milestones
  • Change requests
  • Program risks and issues
  • Regular status updates to project stakeholders
  • Negotiating deliverables and commitments
  • Ensuring ISO compliant processes are followed.

Who Should Apply

You have considerable project management experience at an enterprise level, preferably but not strictly in the telecom industry. You’ve held product responsibilities and are comfortable working and negotiating across project teams and stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Ten plus years of experience in program and project leadership and management
  • Experience managing software development projects through the full lifecycle
  • Proven leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to facilitate project delivery through high-functioning teams
  • Excellent judgment and strong decision making skills
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, organization and motivation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to rally teams around a common goal
  • Hands-on expertise with project management tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Product development experience with a structured quality management system or an ISO certified environment is a definite asset.
  • Software development experience
  • Experience with waterfall and agile development methodologies
