The Opportunity
As a key member of the BlackBerry Enterprise Software Development team the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of high quality, reliable, sustainable, high performance software components. These components will play critical roles in the delivery of future versions of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and support the use of BlackBerry handheld devices by large user communities.

Who Should Apply
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Expert level C++ knowledge
• Previous experience developing applications based on mail server APIs (such as Exchange or Novell GroupWise) and SQL databases
• Strong background in XML and Web Services based on SOAP
• Sound knowledge of software architectures, OOA/OOD, design patterns and their application to high performance systems
• Experience with product development and software engineering best practices
• Experience with software development on Windows, Linux and Unix platforms, including applications based on Win32
• Motivated to work in a challenging, innovative, and quality oriented environment as part of a highly successful organization.
• Able to problem-solve and troubleshoot independently as well as within a team

ADDITIONAL ASSETS
• Previous experience developing enterprise-class software
• Previous experience working on multi-threaded, high throughput transactional servers
• Previous experience with organizations that delivered and supported mission critical enterprise applications
