The Opportunity
As part of a newly-created team, you’ll influence the development and design of BlackBerry software.

This is a senior position with a comprehensive mandate. You’ll work closely with design departments as well as implementation and component teams, and be involved in aspects of product architecture, installation, testing and more.

This challenging, end-to-end role will put your expertise to the test—and put your hard work into the hands of millions of BlackBerry users.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
• Supporting software design teams
• Resolving technical issues
• Creating and reviewing design documents
• Performing feasibility studies and evaluating the impact of new features and technologies
• Mentoring team members
• Assisting in the definition of test strategies

Who Should Apply
• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 3-5 years experience in software development
• Proven ability to lead development of cross-team product feature implementations.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills required for day-to-day interaction within cross-functional, S/W team environment.
• Development experience at the application and user interface level with Cocoa, or at least one of Win32 and Macintosh Toolbox/Carbon
• Mac OS X exposure (end user, administrator, developer)
• Windows exposure (end user, administrator, developer)
• Proficient in C, C++, Objective C
• Experience in writing design documents.
• Background with Visual Studio, MFC, ATL, STL, Javascript, XML and HTML.
• User Interface Design

Additional Assets:
• Experience with installation technologies
• Experience with Mac Sync Services
• Experience with device communication protocols (USB, Bluetooth)
