The OpportunityAs part of the Performance Engineering team, you’ll ensure that the BlackBerry brand exceeds the performance and reliability demands of millions of users and world-class companies.
Working with RIMs ever-evolving hardware and software products, you’ll assess the performance and quality of load testing tools, develop testing plans, analyze test results and work with developers to resolve issues.
At RIM, quality, performance, scalability and robustness are the name of the game. For a junior position, this role offers a chance to have an immediate impact on one the company’s key brands.
Who Should Apply- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 1+ years related experience in testing of enterprise products (new grads welcome).
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Solid understanding of multi-threaded application (thread synchronization, time slicing, context switching etc…).
- Experience developing test plans and executing test cases.
- An asset would be experience in collecting and analyzing performance related data.
- Basic understanding of client-server/distributed architectures, computer hardware and memory management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of debugging tools (umdh, userdump, windbg, etc…)
- Load testing experience
- Knowledge of mail server platforms (Exchange, Domino or GroupWise)
