The Opportunity
Lead both people and development in a role that emphasizes decision-making, requirements gathering and offers day-to-day variety in a high-level environment.

Working with stakeholders that include VPs, Directors, Managers and PMs, you’ll translate project requirements for the Software Measurement team, applying your technical expertise to resource estimation and development, iterating the strategic executive dashboard, analysis, and contributing to RIM’s reputation for top-tier great work.

The human side of your work involves coaching, mentoring planning oversight and feedback. With your help, your team will meet not only their development and testing objectives but their professional goals as well.

RIM is growing at a breakneck pace, so you’ll work closely with management to interview and welcome new faces (orientation, training and on-boarding).

Whether it’s by gathering data from development teams or pulling a team together, this role is about technical and personal finesse.

At the end of the day, this is an opportunity to grow your leadership and decision-making skills while working closely with RIM’s senior management and executives.

Who Should Apply

  • Intermediate skills in software development, data modeling
  • Advanced skills in process development, data analysis, requirements analysis, data extraction, metrics development
  • Advanced skills in leadership, problem solving, achieving results, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, customer focus, organization, team work
  • 3 – 5 years in people management
  • 6 – 9 years in database management, software measurement
  • Advanced skills in measurement tools (MS Excel, Cognos), business application software (MS Office, Visio)
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics
