The Opportunity
Work closely with cross-functional project teams to produce documentation for third-party developers who develop end-to-end wireless applications using the BlackBerry application platform.

As a member of the software documentation department, you’ll deliver high-quality information and training materials that may include developer guides, API reference information, tutorials, white papers, and technical case studies.

Who Should Apply
Along with your post-secondary degree, you have 8 or more years of technical communication experience, especially in writing documentation about software development kits (SDKs). Working knowledge of enterprise programming (ie. J2EE) and corporate IT systems such as web servers and databases is an asset.

This is a brand new position with the Technical Writing department. You will be working with some of the most complex technical documentation RIM has to offer.

You would be creating and updating several API guides and SDK’s. Some well-known companies such as IBM and SAP would be reading your documentation.

RIM is looking for very technical individuals, ideally with a computer science/math background. An understanding Java is essential.

Preferred location is Mississauga because the majority of the team is based in this office.
